MomSpit™ Inspired by the original---- WOW!!!
A couple of weeks ago I talked about finding MomSpit online. As you might remember I was intrigued by the name, concept and company.
I received both fig/green tea and lemon/white tea to try.
I love it. I love it. And I am showing it around all over to friends and family and even some strangers.
I found out that my sister has ordered some for Christmas presents for mom's in Ohio. As soon as she read my first blog about MomSpit she was intrigued.
I went to a business fair and was showing it off to a lady with messy hands. I went to an office today and one of the lady's got ink on her hands and out came my MomSpit bottle. She used it and said: "wow, it worked. Smells nice and isn't a thing like my alcohol based hand sanitizer." One of the other ladies tried it and was ready to head to the site (as soon as I send her the link).
When you get the bottles they are very nice. Clean style with a tiny heart the color of the fragrance. I like both scents. But if you aren't a scent person they do carry an unscented bottle. When you use the MomSpit it takes just a bit to clean stuff up. There is no alcohol smell. It foams so you get the feel of soap without the sink. After you are done rubbing it in or on you are not sticky in anyway. In fact it almost feels like a lotion has been used. It is not drying or sticky on your hands or face.
I really like the MomSpit. It is fun to talk about and I can keep on showing people my bottles.
The link is in the title but it is www.momspit.com. So head on over and decide how many bottles you need for friends and family. They are/would be great stocking stuffers.
MomSpit is innovative. And a great product. It gets my vote.

A Jar of Nothing Gift
I found this craft. And thought how odd. Just thought I would share. Link is in the title to the original post.
Not sure if it is a stocking stuffer or not.
For this project all you need is an empty jar. You can print this saying out onto some adhesive label paper suitable for your printer or print it onto normal plain paper. Use some clear craft glue to adhere it to the jar. If you want to go all out you can add some ribbon to the jar
and even box it up for a great gag gift. --
and even box it up for a great gag gift. --
The Saying---
Did you say nothing? When you were asked what you wanted for Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation or Christmas. Don't you remember saying NOTHING Well this time someone heard you, searched high and low and found this perfect gift for you.
I found my Christmas present
for me. ;o)
Who wouldn't want one of these purses????? What am I talking about? Here, let me show you.

Now aren't these just the thing I need?????
Wait till I tell you where to find them. Go back up to the title and click on it. It will magically (not really--more like html'ly) take you to the nice ladies blog.
Here name is Leigh. She lives in Illinois. I don't know her, I just read it on her blog.

"Start Up Disk Is About Full!" from the Ernie Haase & Signature Sound newsletter -- a must read
This is from the Ernie Haase & Signature Sound newsletter. These are Ernie's thoughts, not mine. I just thought it was too good not to pass on the thoughts. I am sorry if I have infringed upon copyright laws and if I have I will remove this post at once. Otherwise may you be blessed with Ernie's insightfulness.
The other day I was getting ready to answer some emails and do some office work (that I hate doing by the way) and I turned on my computer. I have a brand new Power Book Pro (Mac) and really have been enjoying the speed and the ability to do more things.
A message came up that my "Start Up Disk Is About Full!" I called Apple support and asked what does that mean. They said your hard drive is about full. NO WAY I told them this is only two months old and I got one of the best. They said, "Sir, do you have a lot of movies, pictures and music clips?" To which I said YES that is about all I have on this thing.
So, I did a little fall cleaning on my hard drive ........... I got rid of all the things I had been storing but did not need.
Guess what ..... the hard drive is about completely free!
It is now working fast and free.
Even better than a Mac or a Windows based computer is something called the mind. I know that there are times in my life when things get out of balance and I feel out of control like being in the current of a mighty flood and life just gets to fast. I now realize that those feelings are Gods way of saying to you "Your Start Up Disk Is Full. Free Up Some Space!"
We all need to "Free Up Space" in our minds and lives so that we too (Like the computer) may be "Free" to run smooth and effectively.
I am not talking only of bad stuff. We know that bad things can weigh us down. However, we may need to free some space of some things that are not so bad.
I can think of a couple of things that we use everyday that can clutter our lives very fast. How many people have your cell number? Each person in that cell phone has "instant access" to you and they can call or Text you and then you feel the need to respond quickly even if you are driving with your knees not paying attention to the road.
How about email? How many have your address and how often do you sit at your computer with other things needing attention but your consumed with answering your email and suffering your favorite sites.
If it clutters your life..... It's not always good.
When is the last time you took a walk with someone you love and just enjoyed the company and Gods creation.
When is the last time you just killed a day by doing nothing.
Let the whole world just pass you by as you free up space in your mind and spirit.
Try it sometime. When the outside forces start bearing down on you and try to interrupt your free day ...... look the world and that situation right in the eye and discipline yourself to say. "not today! I'll take care of that some other time. Today is my free up space day!"
God has not given us this life to be burned out, staying cranky all the time. Jesus "pulled away" to pray many times. He modeled this for us and we too need to "pull away" and pray, meditate and just free ourselves from the "Demands" of others so we can be free to serve the same who might make these demand.
Remember, His yoke is easy. Serving God is not easy but it should be a joy. Living the Spirit filled life is a disciplined life not a devastating killjoy life.
Mark your course, plan a day, and go free up some space. You will find life is great and you will be much better equipped and ready to be the person God made you to be.
Ernie
OTHER THOUGHTS....
I believe one of the greatest tools the enemy uses today is busyness! If he can keep us busy with even good things, he can keep us from the BEST things God has planned for us!!
He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:29-31 (NASB)
When the Children of Israel were under the weight of slavery to Egypt, the Lord promised to free them. We sometimes allow ourselves to become slaves to the busyness of the world. Cell phones, e-mails, internet, TV, etc.
"Therefore, say to the people of Israel: 'I am the Lord. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment. Exodus 6:6 (NLT)

Commercial for "Ice Breakers"
I have fallen in love with a mint company. ICE BREAKERS (hershey's co.) mints are fab.
I have been buying the ICE BREAKERS Wintergreen mints that come in a cool green container. I am saving the containers to possibly use in VBS in June.
But my absolute new best friend mint is the ICE BREAKERS restore mint. Pomegranate Lemon Aid Mints. YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!
When I went to Ohio I got my 6 yr. old niece hooked on them. Plus the container is cool looking but I can't use it for anything cause the printing is directly on the tin.
Okay, now back to my regular blogging.

Applesauce in Heaven
Ever have one of those scratch your head and wonder days?
I had one a couple of months ago.
I had been surfing thru a bunch of websites and came to Max Lucado's.
I decided to check out his book list. I saw a title that I wanted to check out further so I went and tried to searchYahoo for it.
I just couldn't find it. Here is the title that I was trying to find. "The Applesauce in Heaven". I found lots of applesauce recipes. But no book. Frustrated I decided to look for it later.
The phone rang. While talking I went back to the Max Lucado book list. I was glancing back over the list of books titles. When another title caught my eye.
Are you ready for it? "The Applause of Heaven".
And I wonder why my friend's and family worry about me sometimes.
I hope this little story has brighten your day.

Starve a cold, feed a fever. ... Or is it feed a cold, starve a fever?
I have laryngitis and apparently I don't feel good. Just ask my family or anyone else who has talked to me on the phone today. I feel icky but not so icky that I think I am as bad as I sound. Does that make sense?
I went and found some recipes for things to make me feel better. I don't really have a sore throat but I like lemons and bananas so these sounded good.
I am hungry. More munchies than anything else. But of course I can't taste anything, so I am grazing.
Crackers and butter are on my plate now. I have had a frozen milky way. A couple of mini golden oreo's. I took a 3 cheese pizza out of the freezer but decided it was too close to supper to have lunch. I looked in the cabinet but the soup selection is icky. Not a real fan of soup anyhow.
So what is on your plate? Do you know if it is starve a cold or feed it? Recipe ideas? Cures?
Get Well Hot Lemon Toddy
6 ounces water
1 lemon wedge
1/2 teaspoon honey
Put lemon wedge and the water in a microwave safe mug. Cook in microwave on high for 60 seconds or longer depending on your microwave. Just get it hot enough to drink, don’t burn yourself. Using the back of a spoon, press the lemon wedge against the sides of the mug to release all the juices. Stir in the honey.
Ginger-Cinnamon Tea
(Ginger is also purported to soothe an upset stomach.)
1/2 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger
6 cups water
2 cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
lemon wedges for garnish if desired
In a saucepan, simmer ginger, cinnamon, and water 20 minutes, or more for stronger tea. Add honey or sugar and strain tea through a sieve.
Hot Lemonade
(Great for a sore throat.)
4 lemons
several slices of ginger root
honey to taste
Juice several lemons, then scrub the peel well. Slice it thinly, and add to the juice. Cover all with plenty of boiling water, cover, and steep until cool. For added benefit, add several slices of ginger root before covering with water. Strain off the liquid, add honey and additional water to taste. Drink hot.
